The Bible says:  All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  That includes you.  You were born with a sin nature and there is nothing you can do personally to remove it.  Sin is the underlying cause of all that is wrong in the world and in your life.  If you die as a sinner, you will live in eternal damnation and misery.  The Good News is that Jesus came and gave His life on the cross in order to rescue you from sin.

Jesus wants you to know that you are loved.  He says to you:  I love you.  I care about you.  If you ask Me in faith – that is, with sincere belief, I promise to —

• Forgive you of your sins

• Help you to overcome the evil influences in your life

• Show you what true love is

• Give you hope, joy, and peace

• Supply all your needs

• Never leave or forsake you throughout all eternity

Lord Jesus, I admit that I am a sinner.  I am sorry for my sins.  I believe in my heart that You died to save me from my sins.  I accept You as my Savior.  Please forgive me of my sins and help me to live a life that pleases You.  Thank You for the promises You have made to me.  Give me the faith, wisdom, and determination I need to make You the Lord of my life.  In Jesus’ name I pray.  AMEN.
